The SR506n can be used as a DSL or Ethernet gateway, and includes a router, firewall, and TR-069 management. One of the LAN ports is 10/100/1000Mbps.
With integrated support for the ITU-T's new G.993.5 Vectoring specification, the SR506n works in conjunction with vectoring-enabled DSLAMs to remove crosstalk inteference, allowing
lines to reach their full bandwidth potential, as if they were the only line in the cable binder.
With features such as dedicated hardware accelerator engines for wire-speed packet processing and Large Send Offload, Broadcom PhyR™/G.inp, advanced IGMP/Multicast traffic
handling, and dynamic/static LAN port-to-PVC mapping, the SR506n delivers high throughput at low bit error rate required when delivering HD IPTV services over copper and
assures Quality of Service is maintained in the triple play environment.
